Remove Line Breaks Online Tool
You can remove line breaks from blocks of text with the option to preserve paragraph breaks if you want.
If you've ever received text that was formatted in a skinny column with broken line breaks at the end of each line or text with tons of extra line breaks, like text from an email or a PDF then this tool is pretty darn handy. You also have the option of just removing all line breaks without preserving paragraph breaks (usually double line breaks).
Replace Line Breaks
Use this tool because spending hours manually removing line breaks sucks if you're pasting content from something like a PDF with a weird text format where the word wrap and abrupt line break is causing problems then this tool will help you.
For anyone with the reverse of this problem, I also have another online tool if you need to automatically add line breaks to fix blocks of text. There's also one to remove empty lines from text.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the three line break options?
The first option removes only single line breaks while preserving double line breaks, keeping your text organized in paragraphs. The second option removes all line breaks but adds a space at the end of each line to ensure words don't run together. The third option removes every line break from the text without exception, producing a single continuous block of text.
When would I use the "Preserve Paragraphs" option?
This option is ideal when your text contains paragraph breaks that you want to keep intact. It targets only the single line breaks within paragraphs, leaving the spacing between paragraphs untouched, so your content retains its overall structure.
Why would I need to add a space at the end of a lines when removing line breaks?
When line breaks are removed without any spacing adjustment, the last word of one line and the first word of the next can merge together. The "add space" option prevents this, ensuring the resulting text remains readable and properly spaced.
Can I edit my original words and run the tool again?
Yes. Your original text remains in the input box after processing, so you can make adjustments and rerun the tool as many times as needed without having to paste your content again.
What kind of text is this tool useful for?
The tool is well suited for cleaning up text copied from PDFs, emails, code editors, or other sources that introduce unwanted line breaks. It is also useful for preparing text for platforms or applications that require continuous, unformatted content.
Will this change my actual content?
No, it doesn't. The tool only modifies line breaks and spacing. Your words, punctuation, and content should remain exactly the same.
Is my original text uploaded or stored anywhere?
Nope. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your text is not sent to a server or saved anywhere.
Does this tool handle batch text?
No, it currently only handles one text at a time but if enough people email me, I'll add this feature.
Is this text replacer tool free to use?
Yes, the Remove Line Breaks tool is completely free and requires no account or registration.
